Role: Manager/Senior - DevOps (On-prem), R&D
Location: Bangalore, Remote
Shift Timings: 6AM to 2PM or 2PM to 10 PM
Work Week: Mon - Fri
Note: Regular Shift, Hybrid for the initial 2-3 months

As a DevOps manager, you will have the opportunity to work for an AI-based Unicorn which is
recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies on the Inc. 5000 list. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented DevOps professionals to maintain and execute organizational policies and procedures for change management, configuration management, service monitoring, release, deployment and problem management. DevOps manager will own and lead customers on-prem deployments, upgrades, migrations, support activities ensuring adherence to security, compliance, availability, and performance requirements across customer-managed environments hosted on all major cloud providers - AWS, GCP, Azure and Samsung Cloud etc
What you'll do for us
● Manage all aspects of o9 platform deployment and technical operations
● Manage DevOps team, assigning and monitoring work tasks and ensuring quality and efficiency is maintained
● Hire and grow DevOps talent
● Lead, plan, build, configure, test, and deploy DevOps solutions
● Collaborate with internal and external customers to manage o9 platform deployment, maintenance and support needs
● Promote DevOps strategies and implementation goals
● Develop and deploy best in class automation to efficiently manage o9 platform deployments
● Analyze and approve code and configuration changes
● Own end-to-end deployment, upgrade, migration, and operational support of the o9 Digital
Brain Platform across customer-managed on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
● Drive infrastructure planning, provisioning, capacity management, performance optimization,
and environment lifecycle management.
● Partner with internal teams and customer Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to ensure platform availability, security, compliance, and operational readiness.
● Improve platform reliability, quality, scalability, time-to-deploy, and time-to-upgrade.
● Monitor, measure, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance across environments.
● Lead major platform upgrades, vulnerability remediation, platform hardening, patch management, and disaster recovery initiatives.
● Act as the senior escalation point for critical infrastructure and platform issues, driving root cause analysis and timely resolution.
● Analyze and approve code, infrastructure, and configuration changes.
● Provide on-call support on a rotation/shift basis and collaborate effectively with global teams
across time zones.
What you'll have
- Management Experience:
5+ years of experience building and leading high performing diverse teams as DevOps manager.
- Experience:
10-12 years of experience in a DevOps role, performance tuning, conducting application upgrades, patches, supporting continuous integration and deployment tooling
8 years of experience with Dockers or similar, 6 years of experience with Kubernetes or similar.
Working experience with anyone monitoring tool/stack (ELK, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, Newrelic)
Experience managing enterprise-scale customer-hosted/on-premises infrastructure and Kubernetes-based platforms.
Experience leading platform upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Experience working directly with customer Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams in enterprise environments.
- Education: Bachelor's /Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information
Technology, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management
- Skills:
● Proficient with Cloud Operations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Jenkins or similar technologies, Ansible, Terraform, Administration of databases (MS SQL, Mongo) and, on- prem, or hybrid environments experience in managing infrastructure and applications
● Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and testing skills
● Ability to deliver independently and to translate requirements into technical solutions with minimal supervision
● Ability and flexibility to work with teams globally, across time zones
