We are looking for a DevOps Lead / Architect who will drive the design, automation, optimization, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. You will lead initiatives across CI/CD, observability, security, and cloud cost optimization, ensuring our systems scale efficiently while remaining secure and cost-effective.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines deep technical skills with architectural vision and operational excellence.
Architecture And Infrastructure
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
- Define and implement DevOps architecture, tooling, and best practices aligned with product and business goals.
- Architect cloud-native, highly available systems (AWS preferred) with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Automation And CI/CD
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices and data platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc. ).
- Automate provisioning, deployment, and testing workflows to improve developer velocity and environment consistency.
Security And Compliance
- Implement cloud security best practices (IAM policies, secrets management, vulnerability scanning).
- Support compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2 and other healthcare data protection standards.
Observability And Reliability
- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve uptime, error budgets, and incident response.
Cloud Cost Optimization
- Own cloud cost visibility, tracking, and optimization across environments and teams.
- Continuously monitor cloud spend and identify opportunities for cost reduction (right-sizing instances, storage tiering, auto-scaling, spot instances, etc. ).
- Partner with Finance and Product teams to set and enforce cost budgets and efficiency KPIs.
- Introduce FinOps best practices and tooling to promote engineering accountability for spend.
Collaboration And Leadership
- Partner with engineering, data, and QA teams to streamline release cycles and environment management.
- Mentor DevOps engineers and foster a culture of automation, security, reliability, and cost awareness.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure, including 2+ years in a leadership or architect capacity.
- Proven expertise with AWS services (EC2 ECS/EKS, RDS, S3 Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
- Strong hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
- Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Strong background in cloud security, networking, and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or Go).
- Demonstrated success in cloud cost management and FinOps initiatives.
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to data-heavy systems or healthcare environments is a plus.
