About The Role
As a DevOps Intern at HUFT, you'll get hands-on exposure to how a fast-scaling D2C brand builds, ships, and monitors software in production. Working closely with our engineering team, you'll help automate deployments, strengthen our CI/CD pipelines, and keep our systems running smoothly behind the scenes — from our website to our in-store systems. This is a role for someone who's curious about how things actually work under the hood, enjoys solving problems methodically, and wants real ownership early in their career.
What You Will Do
- CI/CD & Automation
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Help automate repetitive deployment and release tasks.
- Support scripting for build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Infrastructure & Cloud
- Support the setup and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Assist with containerisation (Docker) and basic orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Help monitor infrastructure costs and flag optimisation opportunities.
- Monitoring & Reliability
- Help set up monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Assist in troubleshooting deployment and production issues.
- Document runbooks and processes for the team.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with developers to understand deployment requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and sprint discussions.
- Support the team with ad-hoc technical tasks.
Who This Is For
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Linux, scripting (Bash/Python), and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
- Curious, self-driven, and eager to learn by doing.
- Comfortable asking questions and figuring things out.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Personal projects, GitHub contributions, or coursework in DevOps/cloud.
- Interest in consumer tech, e-commerce, or retail platforms.
- Love pets (bonus, obviously).
