About HyperVerge
HyperVerge is a fast-growing, bootstrapped AI SaaS company building the Identity Infrastructure for the Internet powering 500M+ AI-based verifications across 40+ countries for brands like Jio, CRED, SBI, Swiggy, HDFC, Grab, and more.
Our systems run 247 across geographies, handling mission-critical identity and fraud workflows where latency, reliability, and cost per inference matter deeply.
Behind every seamless verification experience is a rock-solid cloud and platform foundation and that's where our DevOps & Platform Engineering team comes in.
If you're curious about how large systems actually run, not just how code is written, this role is for you.
DevOps Intern Cloud & Platform Systems
- Duration: 6 months (Full-time, Onsite Bengaluru)
- Stipend: INR 35,000/month + All meals (MonFri)
- Conversion: PPO based on performance
- CTC post conversion: 1216 LPA
Why This Role Matters
Every feature, model, and API depends on infrastructure that works.
DevOps ensures that:
- Deployments are fast, safe, and repeatable at scale
- Production issues are caught early through monitoring and automation
- Platforms and pipelines supporting AI inference and search systems run reliably
- Infrastructure can handle high-volume AI inference requests without compromising performance or cost.
As a DevOps Intern, you'll help build and operate the systems that power HyperVerge's AI platform in production.
Team & Workflow (How Work Happens)
You'll work closely with:
- DevOps / Platform Engineers
- Backend Engineers
- ML & Inference Teams
Your work will span multiple stages of the engineering lifecycle:
- Infrastructure setup creating and managing cloud resources
- Automation & CI/CD enabling smooth, safe deployments
- Monitoring & reliability keeping systems healthy
- Issue analysis understanding what broke and why
- Continuous improvements making systems faster, cheaper, and more reliable.
You won't be expected to know everything on Day 1 you'll learn as you build.
What You'll Work On
- Help build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Support CI/CD pipelines for fast and safe deployments
- Assist in monitoring systems, alerts, and reliability metrics
- Learn how incidents are analyzed and prevented over time
- Work with Docker containers and get exposure to Kubernetes-based systems
- Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual work
- Collaborate with engineers to understand how infrastructure impacts performance and cost at scale
Skill Map (What You'll Grow Into)
You're not expected to be an expert. Over time, you'll build:
Foundations
- Linux basics, networking fundamentals, HTTP
- How applications run on cloud infrastructure
Automation
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- CI/CD basics and deployment workflows
Systems Thinking
- Understanding dependencies between services
- How failures happen and how to prevent them
Operational Mindset
- Observability before assumptions
- Automation over manual work
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Are curious about how systems work behind the scenes
- Enjoy debugging and improving things
- Like learning by doing
- Take ownership and follow tasks through
- Don't panic when something breaks you want to understand it
Prior DevOps experience is not mandatory. Curiosity and fundamentals matter more.
Good to Have (Not Mandatory)
- Exposure to AWS or any cloud platform
- Basic Docker or Kubernetes usage
- Simple scripting (Python / Shell)
- College or personal projects involving servers, automation, or cloud
Why You'll Love This Role
This isn't a watch and learn internship.
You'll:
- Work on real systems in production
- Learn how large-scale AI platforms run at scale
- Build skills that compound across any engineering career
By the end, you won't just know DevOps tools
you'll understand how infrastructure, automation, and reliability come together in real products.
