DevOps Engineer

Job Description: Senior DevOps & Automation EngineerRole Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps & Automation Engineer (4 to 6 Years Experience) to design, secure, and scale our infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations by building bulletproof CI/CD pipelines, optimizing self-hosted container deployments, and writing self-healing monitoring scripts.

A key focus of this position is efficiency; we expect you to leverage modern AI tools and agents to automate repetitive tasks, fast-track code generation, and simplify day-to-day infrastructure maintenance.

Key Responsibilities1. Secure Codebase & CI/CD Automation

• Maintain highly secure, fool-proof source control environments using GitHub Enterprise / GitLab.
• Implement robust branch protection rules, automated secret scanning (e.g., GitGuardian, Trufflehog), and vulnerability patching.
• Build and manage continuous auto-deployment workflows using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.

2. Container Orchestration & Internal Networking

• Seamlessly deploy and manage Docker containers utilizing Coolify (or similar PaaS engines) for rapid staging and production setups.
• Architect secure, high-performance internal networking layouts.
• Configure and maintain Traefik and Nginx as reverse proxies, handles for dynamic routing, load balancing, and automated SSL orchestration.

3. Smart Monitoring & Self-Healing Agents

• Set up end-to-end monitoring and alerting arrays (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Glances, or Datadog) to observe server and service health.
• Develop custom automation scripts or AI-driven infrastructure agents that actively detect outages and execute self-healing protocols (e.g., auto-restarting crashed containers, clearing logs, scaling resources).

4. Bulletproof Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Automate recurring system, database, and volume backups to offsite secure cloud storage.
• Implement an automated system to periodically restore and validate backups, ensuring zero data corruption and realistic RTO/RPO targets.

5. AI-Accelerated Operations

• Integrate AI assistant tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or specialized AI DevOps agents like Kubiya) into daily routines to accelerate scripting, debug complex logs, and optimize configuration files.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience: 4 to 6 years of proven experience in dedicated DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles.
• Deep understanding of Linux server administration, network protocols, firewall configurations, and security best practices.
• Experience running cost-efficient, self-hosted deployment alternatives (like Coolify) alongside standard cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/DigitalOcean).
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for removing human intervention from repetitive failure loops via creative automation.
