Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering YoCharge's EV charging ecosystem. The platform processes real-time communication with EV chargers, manages distributed microservices, and supports high-availability systems across multiple regions.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, GCP, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

- Build and maintain highly available infrastructure supporting large-scale WebSocket communication with EV chargers.

- Manage containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and infrastructure provisioning.

- Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

- Design auto-scaling architectures to handle large numbers of concurrent IoT device connections.

- Maintain distributed caching and messaging systems such as Redis clusters and message brokers.

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Cloud-native tools.

- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance across multi-region deployments.

- Implement security best practices including network isolation, IAM policies, secrets management, and encryption.

- Optimize cloud infrastructure cost while maintaining system performance and resilience.

- Support developers in deploying and scaling microservices.

# Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering.

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud & GCP infrastructure including:

- Understanding of Docker and containerised application deployment.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration systems.

- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.

- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).

- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.

- Experience managing distributed systems and microservice architectures.

- Ability to debug production infrastructure issues effectively.
