Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Build internal developer platforms and portals with tools/frameworks such as Backstage.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform to support cloud-native applications running in AWS.
- Use Kubernetes to support development and deployment workflows, focusing on application delivery rather than cluster administration.
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand pain points and build tools that improve the developer experience.
- Automate operational tasks and integrate systems to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
- Champion best practices in software delivery, observability, and platform reliability.
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience building applications, especially microservices and server side apps in Dotnet, python, nodejs or typescript.
- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments, ideally using Helm, Flux or ArgoCD.
- Strong experience with Docker and containerisation concepts, including building, managing, and deploying containerised applications.
- Good literacy in Python for scripting, automation tasks and services which support the squads.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, with experience working in cross-functional product teams. Ability to contribute to iterative planning, continuous improvement, and collaborative delivery.
- Familiarity with automated testing practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. Experience writing testable code and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and pipeline design.
- Experience with GitHub Actions.
- Good knowledge of the AWS cloud platform.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Experience working in a developer enablement or platform engineering role.
