We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator / DevOps Engineer to support and automate our on-premises and hybrid infrastructure. You will manage Linux systems, virtualisation, CI/CD pipelines, artefact repositories, and core infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment across Linux-based environments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and scripting.
- Lead and support CI/CD pipeline development and automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and other open-source technologies.
- Install, configure, and maintain GitLab Self-Managed (CE/EE) on on-premise servers to support internal CI/CD workflows.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of infrastructure strategies, standards, and DevOps roadmaps.
- Convert and manage servers, and maintain containers across on-prem and hybrid environments.
- Promote standardisation, scalability, and operational efficiency across virtualisation platforms, particularly VMWare.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous integration, delivery, and improvement of platform services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering or Systems Administration, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation and orchestration.
- Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or other Linux distributions) and VMWare virtualised environments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or OpenShift.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, system administration, and DevOps practices in on-prem or hybrid setups.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Comfortable working in Agile teams, contributing to continuous integration, delivery, and improvement processes.
