Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to support the automation, deployment, monitoring, scalability, security, and reliability of modern IT infrastructure and applications. The successful candidate will work closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and maintain highly available production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release management.
- Manage and automate cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure and maintain Linux-based servers, networking components, storage, and application infrastructure.
- Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic Stack, or equivalent monitoring solutions.
- Identify and troubleshoot application, infrastructure, deployment, networking, and performance issues.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Manage source-code repositories and branching strategies using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or equivalent platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment processes and production reliability.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, access controls, and security automation.
- Maintain cloud security, IAM policies, configuration standards, and infrastructure best practices.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive-action planning.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure and operational costs while maintaining performance and availability.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, architecture documents, and operational reports.
- Support production releases, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Continuously evaluate emerging DevOps and cloud technologies to improve automation, reliability, and efficiency.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD
- Knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration
- Experience with Git and version-control systems
- Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability
- Understanding of networking, security, DNS, load balancing, and cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and software development life cycles
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Experience with enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and production environments.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps, Kubernetes, microservices, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of relevant DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work with production systems and participate in on-call/support activities when required.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
- Must meet applicable employment, background-verification, and organizational requirements.
