What This Role Really Is
You're not here to manage servers.
You're here to
own uptime, scalability, and reliability end to end.
When something crashes you fix it.
When something slows down you optimize it.
When something doesn't exist you build it.
No hand-holding. No silos. Just ownership.
What You'll Own (Core Responsibilities)
Infrastructure & Cloud
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, Route53, CloudFront, etc.)
- Design systems that scale under pressure and don't fail silently
Containerization & Orchestration
- Run and optimize Docker + Kubernetes workloads
- Ensure deployments are repeatable, reliable, and fast
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Automate everything that shouldn't be manual
- Ship faster without breaking things
Monitoring, Logging & Reliability
- Set up deep observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch)
- Track everything that matters ignore everything that doesn't
- Own uptime, latency, and system health
Databases & Systems
- Work with Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ
- Ensure high availability, backups, and performance tuning
Infrastructure as Code
- Use Terraform to build reproducible, scalable infra
- No manual setups. Ever.
What We're Looking For
- 37 years in DevOps / SRE / Infra roles
- Strong hands-on with AWS ecosystem
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Solid scripting skills (Shell / Python)
- You think in systems, not tasks
Good to Have (But We'll Know If You're Faking It)
- AWS Lambda, CloudFormation
- Nginx, Apache, Tomcat
- Jira or similar tools
- Understanding of system design patterns
