Job Description:

Netstratum is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support our development and operations teams and ensure the smooth delivery and operation of our software solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Argo CD, Git, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana, and solid networking knowledge. The role requires experience across cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement technology solutions that enable the business.
• Develop software tools and automation to support DevOps responsibilities and CI/CD product integration.
• Lead and collaborate with teams in an Agile development cycle.
• Automate and standardize infrastructure deployment, configuration, and system administration using Python, Terraform, Ansible, and other automation tools.
• Build, manage, and support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows using Jenkins, Argo CD, Git, and GitHub.
• Support cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments, including AKS, EKS, VPC/VNet, Key Vault, and Secrets Management.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
• Work with Kafka and related messaging infrastructure where required.
• Take proactive steps to improve infrastructure availability, reliability, and performance.
• Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade server and Linux-based infrastructure.
• Support, update, and administer third-party applications, including SolarWinds for network monitoring and management.
• Proactively ensure high levels of system and infrastructure availability.
• Identify potential security vulnerabilities and affected hardware/software versions and apply appropriate updates and fixes.
• Troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support production operations, including Incident Management, Performance Tuning, High Availability, and issue resolution.
• Work with team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and system goals and identify technology-based solutions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and implement strategies and toolsets to improve them.

Desired skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS, with exposure to AKS, EKS, VPC/VNet, Key Vault, and Secrets Management
• Strong hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD and GitOps, including Jenkins, Argo CD, Git, and GitHub
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using Terraform and Ansible
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry
• Experience working with Kafka for messaging and event-driven systems
• Extensive knowledge and administration experience with Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in scripting and programming using Bash/Shell and Python; knowledge of Java is an added advantage
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, VLAN, NAT, VPN, IPSec, Firewalls, and Load Balancing
• Practical experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM
• Strong experience in production operations, including Incident Management, troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Performance Tuning, and High Availability
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across development, staging, and production environments
• Experience monitoring infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity and proactively addressing reliability and performance issues
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and other technical teams
