DevOps Engineer Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and help drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our cloud and onprem environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with Azure and AWS, modern CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and containerized workloads. This role collaborates closely with development, architecture, and operations teams to streamline deployments and ensure system resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Manage and optimize Windows-based virtual machines and supporting services.
• Implement scalable, highly available architectures using cloud-native tools and best practices.

CI/CD & Automation

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:
• Jenkins
• GitHub Actions
• Harness
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve release velocity and reliability.
• Manage source control workflows using GitHub.

Containers & Orchestration

• Build, package, and deploy applications using Docker.
• Work extensively with Kubernetes for container orchestration (AKS, EKS, or self-managed clusters).
• Develop and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement observability tooling and alerting to ensure uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotation (if applicable).
• Continuously improve system resilience, scalability, and security posture.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Partner with engineering teams on DevOps best practices, automation opportunities, and release strategies.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation preferred).
• Document systems, standards, and operational processes.
