DevOps Engineer

Heartstream includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions.

Your impact

  • Automate software development processes, with the aim of accelerating release cycles and strengthening feedback mechanisms, fostering a more agile development environment.
  • Take part in maintaining robust source control systems and CI/CD pipelines, essential components for ensuring the smooth delivery of code from development to production environments.
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of automation scripts for building and deploying, striving for optimized deployment workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to efficiently manage code releases and promptly address and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, strengthening software quality and security.
  • Coach new joiners and exerts influence within team - local lab/product.
  • Embrace the learning curve inherent in DevOps methodologies and best practices, leveraging opportunities to enhance team productivity and elevate the quality of deliverables.
  • Cultivate an understanding of customer requirements and contribute insights to align DevOps initiatives with overarching business objectives, enhancing overall value delivery.
  • Play a role in data-driven decision-making processes by actively gathering and analyzing pertinent metrics, aiding in the identification of areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Assist in the deployment of telemetry solutions to bolster system monitoring capabilities, facilitating proactive identification and resolution of potential bottlenecks or performance issues.
  • Maintain a proactive stance towards professional development, actively seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise in DevOps technologies and methodologies, driving personal and team growth.

  • We believe collaboration is better together than apart. For this Bangalore office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

You'll thrive in the role if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering is mandatory
  • 8+ software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience building and automating scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.), Microsoft Azure (AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure ML, Azure Monitor), Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Stackdriver, Cloud Storage)
  • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), Helm
  • CI/CD & Version Control: Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Git, Maven
  • Infrastructure as Code & Config Management: Terraform, Ansible
  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Azure Monitor, GCP Operations Suite – nice to have
  • MLOps & Data Pipelines: MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC, Apache Airflow, AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, Google Vertex AI
  • Programming/Scripting: Python, Shell scripting (Bash)
  • Databases & Servers: MySQL, Azure SQL; Apache Tomcat, Nginx
  • Built and maintained robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, enabling faster and more reliable application delivery while improving release efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability in working in a complex/global environment.
  • Able to run Integration tests for embedded systems with build runners
