DevOps Engineer

Grow Your Staff is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a Computer Software firm in Germany. The position is a full-time remote opportunity.

The role will have excellent growth opportunities. You will work directly with the technical team based in Germany and take ownership of the reliability, deployment, security, and operational stability of the company's HCM platform.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and improve Azure-based development, test, customer, and production environments, including infrastructure, PostgreSQL databases, storage, networking, proxies, certificates, and service configurations.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, deployment repositories, release automation, and configuration workflows using Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and configure HCM modules and integrations, including environment-specific settings, tenant parameters, licenses, client data, and cloud installations.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues involving availability, URLs, servers, databases, file shares, networking, proxies, and external services.
• Improve platform security and reliability through access controls, security scanning, compliance tooling, secrets management, monitoring, logging, dashboards, health checks, alerting, and operational runbooks.
• Maintain automated testing infrastructure, including Azure DevOps test execution and Playwright-based end-to-end testing.
• Support infrastructure migrations, production deployments, incident response, and collaboration with development, IT, security, infrastructure providers, and customer-support teams.
• Create and maintain automated workflows and documentation to ensure deployments, recovery procedures, environment management, and knowledge transfer are reliable and repeatable.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Linux, Windows, networking, DNS, reverse proxies, TLS certificates, storage, and access management.
• Hands-on experience with automation or Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with SAML/SSO, secrets management, security controls, and least-privilege access.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with automated testing platforms; Playwright experience is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently with international teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, SRE, or a similar role.
• Experience with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, PostgreSQL, Storage Accounts, networking, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting production environments, incident response, customer deployments, and change management.
• Experience migrating infrastructure from legacy environments or GitLab-based delivery processes to Azure/Azure DevOps would be an advantage.
• Experience working with SaaS, multi-tenant, HR, payroll, or enterprise software platforms would be preferred.
