DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and improve secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure across 2–3 production-grade projects. You will work closely with software engineering and product teams to strengthen deployment processes, cloud operations, monitoring, security, and system reliability.

The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities and creating repeatable platform standards that help teams deliver software quickly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Own DevOps operations for 2–3 scalable production projects simultaneously.
• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports high availability, performance, security, and future traffic growth.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, rollback, and release management.
• Use Infrastructure as Code to provision, update, and standardize environments.
• Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident-response processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability, deployment readiness, and operational efficiency.
• Manage cloud security controls, access permissions, secrets, backups, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs without affecting performance or reliability.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment workflows, and recovery procedures.
  

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven experience supporting multiple production applications or projects at the same time.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container registries.
• Strong Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, secret management, SSL/TLS, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
• Ability to prioritize work across 2–3 projects and communicate progress clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and service meshes.
• Experience with blue-green, canary, or rolling deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with security scanning, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.
• Cloud or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
