Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Lead with deep expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, DevOps, and large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate will lead cloud infrastructure initiatives, drive containerization and automation strategies, and support highly available, secure, and scalable production environments across on-prem and cloud platforms.
This role requires strong hands-on technical skills along with leadership capabilities to guide teams, design architectures, and troubleshoot complex production issues.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Linux/Unix, Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), DevOps, and Containers
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (control plane, data plane, on-prem and cloud deployments)
- Strong expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation using Python
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Consul, and Helm charts
- Kubernetes monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Fluentbit, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security across on-prem and cloud environments
- Experience with API Gateways (Kong preferred), Kafka, and event-driven microservices
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell
- Good understanding of REST and gRPC
- Exposure to GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and SRE practices
Good to Have
- Experience managing distributed or multi-region Kubernetes clusters
- Exposure to VMware virtualization and Tanzu
- Experience with container security (image scanning, pod security, network policies)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking, firewall rules, and storage concepts
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production infrastructure issues

- Lead cloud and Kubernetes platform architecture and implementation
- Design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Terraform and scripting
- Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of platforms
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices and production readiness
