Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Lead with deep expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, DevOps, and large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate will lead cloud infrastructure initiatives, drive containerization and automation strategies, and support highly available, secure, and scalable production environments across on-prem and cloud platforms.

This role requires strong hands-on technical skills along with leadership capabilities to guide teams, design architectures, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Linux/Unix, Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), DevOps, and Containers
• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (control plane, data plane, on-prem and cloud deployments)
• Strong expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation using Python
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Consul, and Helm charts
• Kubernetes monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Fluentbit, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security across on-prem and cloud environments
• Experience with API Gateways (Kong preferred), Kafka, and event-driven microservices
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell
• Good understanding of REST and gRPC
• Exposure to GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and SRE practices

Good to Have

• Experience managing distributed or multi-region Kubernetes clusters
• Exposure to VMware virtualization and Tanzu
• Experience with container security (image scanning, pod security, network policies)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking, firewall rules, and storage concepts
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production infrastructure issues

What You'll Do

• Lead cloud and Kubernetes platform architecture and implementation
• Design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Terraform and scripting
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of platforms
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices and production readiness
