DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation processes. The role involves ensuring system reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency while supporting software development teams in delivering high-quality applications. The candidate will work closely with Development, QA, and Operations teams to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve deployment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Configure, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar cloud environments.

• Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.

• Monitor system performance, availability, security, and resource utilization to ensure optimal system health.

• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to optimize deployment workflows and release processes.

• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control processes using Git.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, participate in incident response activities, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).

• Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture, deployment procedures, configurations, and operational processes.

• Research and evaluate emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

• Regularly update the Daily Task Plan and End-of-Day (EOD) Task Completion Status in Microsoft Teams. The Daily Task Plan must be shared by 9:30 AM, and the EOD status update must be submitted by 6:00 PM to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective team coordination.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD methodologies, and software deployment practices.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments.

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and server management.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, or similar technologies.

• Proficiency in Git and version control best practices.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management abilities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• AWS, Azure, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, Docker, or equivalent DevOps certifications will be an added advantage.
