We are seeking a skilled Cloud & DevSecOps Engineer with 35 years of hands-on experience in AWS and modern cloud platforms to design, implement, secure, and operate scalable infrastructure and CI/CD platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS cloud operations, automation, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and exposure to DevSecOps practices. This role works closely with developers, security teams, and platform architects to deliver secure, reliable, and automated cloud environments.
The candidate should be capable of independently managing deployments, improving automation maturity, and contributing to cloud security posture.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ALB/NLB).
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
- Drive high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Support multi-cloud environments (AWS primary, exposure to Azure/GCP preferred).
- Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
- Automate provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks.
- Integrate Git-based workflows into deployment processes.
- Implement reusable modules for infrastructure automation.
- Work closely with development teams to optimize build and release cycles.
- Implement security-first design in cloud and CI/CD pipelines.
- Enforce IAM best practices, least-privilege access, and identity governance.
- Integrate security tools into pipelines:
- Container image scanning
- Dependency scanning
- Secrets scanning
- Support compliance monitoring using AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub.
- Implement encryption, secure networking, and secrets management.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation and security hardening.
- Implement observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Configure alerting, dashboards, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure and deployments.
Skillset:
- Strong experience with AWS services:
- EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch
- Solid understanding of networking, security groups, and routing.
- Experience working in production cloud environments.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools:
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
- Infrastructure as Code:
- Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation
- Git-based workflow expertise.
- Experience implementing security best practices in cloud:
- IAM governance
- Secrets management
- Secure CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to:
- Container security
- Vulnerability scanning tools
- Compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Docker
- Kubernetes / EKS
- Helm deployment experience is a plus.
- Strong scripting ability in:
- Python / Bash / PowerShell
- Experience automating operational workflows.
