About the Role:

BrightEdge is hiring a DevOps Engineer with strong backend and infrastructure orientation to support and scale production systems behind data-intensive products.

This is a high-ownership role for engineers who enjoy reliability, automation, scaling, and production readiness in a fast-moving environment. The engineer will work closely with engineering leadership to keep production systems healthy, automate operational pain points, improve resilience, and support critical business workflows where live data and system readiness matter every day.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for production-grade backend systems.
• Automate deployments, CI/CD workflows, and operational processes across cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems for reliability and fast recovery.
• Build tooling for alerting, observability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Work with engineering, platform, and architecture teams on business-critical systems.
• Help ensure systems and data pipelines stay healthy and ready for key business windows.
• Drive improvements in fault tolerance, scalability, cost optimisation, and platform resilience.
• Contribute to backend-adjacent work, especially around automation and production tooling.
• Use AI-native tools to accelerate implementation, debugging, documentation, and delivery.

What You Bring:

• Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Solid Python skills for scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with observability, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong ownership mindset and comfort working in high-accountability environments.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

Work Model: 100% remote | 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM IST | Rotational coverage | Frequent collaboration with US leadership.
