Battery Smart is India's largest and fastest-growing battery-swapping network for electric two and three-wheelers.Founded in 2019 and launched in 2020, we are changing the game in the EV sector by making electric mobility accessible, economical, and scalable through a unique partner-led model. Today, we power the journeys of over 90,000+ drivers daily through 1,600+ swap stations across India.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in AWS, CI/CD, containerization, and automation to join our high-performance technology team. You will contribute to designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS):

Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, VPC, RDS, and S3.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable and repeatable deployments.

Monitor performance and implement cost optimization strategies (e.g., Spot Instances).

2. Containerization & Orchestration:

Build and manage Docker images and containers.

Deploy, scale, and monitor applications on Kubernetes (EKS preferred).

Use Helm Charts for packaging and deployment consistency.

3. CI/CD Pipeline Automation:

Set up and manage Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.

Improve deployment efficiency and reliability through continuous integration and delivery practices.

4. Monitoring, Logging & Security:

Implement observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch for proactive monitoring.

Set up centralized logging and alerting systems.

Ensure best practices in IAM policies, network security, and compliance.

5. Collaboration & Documentation:

Work closely with Developers, QA, and Product teams for seamless deployment and delivery.

Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, processes, and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

25 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.).

Practical experience with Terraform for IaC.

Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).

Experience managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Good understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools.

Scripting experience in Bash or Python for automation tasks.

Good to Have:

Familiarity with Kafka or other event-driven systems.

Experience of Helm for Kubernetes deployment management.

Knowledge of AWS cost optimization practices (Spot Instances, Auto Scaling).
