• Sr DevOps Engineer / Lead

  Who we are looking for

  We are looking for a Sr DevOps Engr / Lead reporting directly to Core Data Services - Software Engineering & Infrastructure Development, VP. Sr Devops Engineer / Lead will own and advance cloud platform engineering, infrastructure automation, operational reliability, cost optimization, and DevOps enablement across Azure-based environments. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud, Terraform, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and automation, along with the leadership skills to collaborate closely with CCoE, platform, security, and application development teams.

  What you will be responsible for

  As a Sr DevOps Engineer / Lead, you will:

• Architect, implement, and continuously improve Azure infrastructure using Terraform with modular, reusable, version-controlled IaC patterns across development, staging, and production environments.
• Lead configuration management and operational automation using Ansible for provisioning, post-deployment setup, patching, compliance tasks, and repeatable environment management.
• Design and optimize CI/CD and infrastructure delivery workflows using Azure DevOps, Git-based practices, and automation pipelines to improve deployment speed, quality, and reliability.
• Build and manage observability capabilities including metrics, logs, dashboards, tracing, alerting, and operational health visibility using Azure-native and third-party monitoring platforms.
• Drive incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and proactive reliability improvements aligned to SLO, SLA, and operational excellence goals.
• Partner with CCoE and enterprise platform stakeholders to define and enforce standards for cloud governance, security, tagging, architecture patterns, policy alignment, and automation guardrails.
• Collaborate with development teams to standardize deployment patterns, improve developer experience, reduce manual effort, and embed DevOps practices into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Lead FinOps initiatives by improving cloud cost transparency, capacity planning, rightsizing, utilization efficiency, budgeting inputs, waste reduction, and cost-aware engineering decisions.
• Create and maintain architecture documents, runbooks, SOPs, technical standards, reusable automation templates, and platform enablement documentation.
• Build or guide internal automation solutions using LangGraph and LangChain for infrastructure workflows, operational runbooks, release assistance, and support engineering productivity.
• Integrate Claude models, plugins, and tool-enabled workflows into governed DevOps processes where AI assistance can improve troubleshooting, change validation, documentation generation, and operational decision support.
• Define governance, approvals, fallback logic, auditability, and observability for AI-assisted infrastructure automation to ensure safe adoption in enterprise environments.

  Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles with strong hands-on delivery ownership.
• Proven experience in senior or lead DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with strong hands-on ownership of enterprise Azure environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services including compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring, and platform operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Terraform for module design, remote state management, environment strategy, policy alignment, and infrastructure lifecycle automation.
• Strong working knowledge of Ansible for configuration management, orchestration, post-provisioning automation, and operational task automation.
• Solid understanding of IaC, CI/CD, GitOps-style workflows, release engineering, and environment standardization.
• Strong experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or equivalent solutions.
• Strong scripting capability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tooling.
• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of cloud governance, security controls, compliance alignment, and cost optimization practices.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, Claude-driven workflows, and enterprise AI automation patterns is a strong advantage.
• Experience in Azure Databricks administration and automation will be considered an added advantage.
