DevOps Engineer

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Your future duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Manage source code repositories (SCM) including branch management

Design, develop, and maintain:

Tools, integrations, plug-ins, extensions, and microservices

Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment solutions

Upgrade and integrate tools as required

Design and document automated DevOps solutions

Ensure adherence to DevOps best practices

Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver effective solutions

Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues before they impact systems

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Core Skills (Must-Have)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Pipeline Engineer, or similar role

3+ years of hands-on experience in scripting/programming:

Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Bash, YAML

Strong experience with Git (source code management & branch strategies)

Experience with deployment/release orchestration tools:

Azure DevOps, Digital.ai, XebiaLabs

Strong knowledge of Linux & Windows infrastructure and administration

Hands-on experience with containerization technologies:

Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher

Working knowledge of databases:

SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Liquibase

Experience with Agile methodologies:

Scrum, Kanban, SAFe

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Good communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams

Secondary Skills (Good-to-Have)

Experience with additional languages:

Perl, Ruby, React

Exposure to microservices architecture

Experience with build tools:

Maven, Gradle

Knowledge of automation/configuration tools:

Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible

Experience with tools like:

ServiceNow

Awareness of latest DevOps trends and best practices

Ability to drive innovation and process improvements
