Role Description

• As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud data infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role emphasizes automation, reliability, and operational excellence, requiring close collaboration withdevelopment teams and other platform stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native data solutions.
• We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced engineer to take ownership of ourdata centricinfrastructure strategy.as we build the strategic data platform for Private Bank on GCP.In this role, you will define architecture, lead implementation, and ensure the robust maintenance of ourdata infrastructure, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

Your key responsibilities

• Platform Leadership:Design, implement, and lead the maintenance of our team'sdata platforminfrastructure and workflows on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging advanced GCP services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage,BigQuery, Dataflow/Dataproc, Cloud Pub/Sub, Composer,Vertex AI integrations, Anthos, and sophisticated monitoring solutions.
• Container Strategy:Architect and maintain our containerization and orchestration strategy using Docker and Kubernetes, driving best practices for deployment and scalingdata processing workloads and data-centric applications
• CI/CD Excellence:Developand maintain robust, high-throughput CI/CD pipelines fordata solutionsusing tools such as GitHub and GitHub Actions, championing automation across the SDLC.
• IaC Mastery:Create, manage, and audit complex Infrastructure as Code templates using Terraform,including the design and creation of reusable modules for data platform components,ensuring auditability and compliance.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and compliance of ourdata platforminfrastructure anddataproducts using enterprise monitoring and logging tools such as Anthos Service Mesh (ASM), Google Cloud's operations suite (GCO), etc.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Serve as a technical liaison, working closely with software development, data engineering,data science, and product management teams to define infrastructure roadmaps and prioritize technical requirements.
• Innovation & Mentorship:Stay up to date with the latest developments in Google Cloud Platform and machine learning operations (MLOps)within the data domain, applying this knowledge strategically to improve products and processes, while mentoring junior engineers.

Your skills and experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Experiencein a Senior DevOps or SRE role, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform within a highly regulated industry, specifically concerning data platforms or large-scale data solutions.
• Technical Depth:Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Deep expertise in containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes/GKE).
• Pipeline Expertise:Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing integration, and GitHub/GitHub Actions,with an emphasis on data pipeline automation.
• Security & Compliance:Strong understanding and practical application of security and compliance best practices, including specific GCP security features (IAM, VPC Service Controls, encryption).
• Soft Skills:Excellent communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional initiatives and drive consensus.
