- Architect, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure (e.g., AKS, App Service, Functions, Virtual Machines, Storage, VNets, Application Gateway, API Management).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM/Bicep and/or Terraform for repeatable, version-controlled deployments.
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including upgrades, scaling, and rollout strategies.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and related tools.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, integrating security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD (e.g., code scanning, dependency scanning, container image scanning, secret management with Azure Key Vault).
- Manage configuration and automation using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or scripts.
- Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of Azure resources, including right-sizing, scaling strategies, and use of PaaS services.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call rotation for critical production systems.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and standards for Azure environments and DevOps practices.
- Mentor junior team members and help drive DevOps culture and best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8–10 years of overall experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering / Build & Release, with substantial hands-on work on Azure.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, YAML, build/release automation, environment approvals).
- Proven experience with Azure services such as AKS, App Services, Functions, Storage Accounts, VNets, Load Balancers/Application Gateway, Azure SQL/other data services.
- Solid expertise with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes, preferably AKS.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in PowerShell and/or Python/Bash for automation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and/or ARM/Bicep).
- Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, firewalls, VPN/ExpressRoute, NSGs).
- Experience implementing and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting in Azure.
- Familiarity with security best practices in Azure (RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, network security, least privilege).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using Git-based workflows.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305).
- Experience with GitOps (e.g., Argo CD, Flux) on AKS.
- Exposure to microservices architectures, service meshes, and API gateways.
- Experience with message queues and data platforms (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Kafka, Redis, SQL/NoSQL).
- Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks relevant to cloud environments.
