DevOps Engineer Role Profile
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer responsible for managing application systems, deployment processes, and infrastructure to ensure reliable releases, system uptime, and performance. The role involves maintaining and improving technical platforms, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring platform security and stability.
This is a full-time role based in Chennai, working closely with engineering and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Software, and Data Engineering teams to build and maintain DevOps tools and infrastructure.
- Support and modernize ETL and real-time data streaming pipelines.
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Maintain system security, patch management, and network configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform and application issues.
- Ensure adherence to change management, version control, and secure code practices.
- Communicate technical designs and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software, Network, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 7 years of experience with 3+ years of experience in a DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Mandatory).
- Experience troubleshooting technologies such as SQL, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, S3, AWS Lambda, REST APIs (HTTP), SOAP, and C# (.NET Core).
- Experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
- Understanding of networking concepts (web servers, firewalls, routing).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic).
- Exposure to data platforms and analytics tools such as Redshift, OpenSearch, Athena, and SQL.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and data-driven systems.
- Strong documentation skills and good communication in English.
Desirable
- Experience with EC2 provisioning, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
