What we're building
We're transitioning from traditional EC2 infrastructure to a fully containerized platform on AWS. Our small platform team owns everything, infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and local dev environments. We move fast and need someone who can keep up.
What you'll be doing
- Building and maintaining containerized infrastructure (AWS ECS, Docker)
- Creating production-ready Terraform modules for new services and tools
- Managing multi-account AWS architecture and network isolation
- Setting up and maintaining observability stack (Grafana Cloud, Prometheus)
- Building custom tooling and automation
- Deploying and scaling internal platforms (just launched an AI agent platform)
What we need from you
- 7+ years of experince working on devops
- Deep AWS experience: ECS, networking, IAM, multi-account organizations, DocumentDB/RDS
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (you should be writing modules, not just using them)
- Containerization: Docker, docker-compose, production container orchestration
- Observability: Hands-on experience instrumenting applications (Go, Python) with Prometheus, building Grafana dashboards, understanding push vs. pull metrics
- Speed and autonomy: Take something like an open-source docker-compose app and have it production-ready in AWS within a week
- Scripting/coding: Python, Go, or similar, you'll be building tools, not just configuring them
