About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced DevOps Engineers with expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Linux, automation, and infrastructure as code to contribute to advanced AI training and evaluation projects.

In this role, you'll apply your DevOps and infrastructure expertise to create realistic production-style engineering tasks, develop reference solutions, evaluate AI-generated technical outputs, and provide structured feedback that helps improve the accuracy, reliability, and reasoning capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required. Your DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure expertise are the primary qualifications for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic DevOps and infrastructure evaluation tasks covering CI/CD, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and incident response.
• Develop and validate working reference solutions with clear setup, execution, and validation procedures.
• Review AI-generated DevOps solutions, identify failures, and provide precise technical corrections with supporting reasoning.
• Evaluate solutions for correctness, reliability, security, scalability, and reproducibility.
• Apply expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, cloud platforms, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines to realistic engineering scenarios.
• Create technical problems involving production infrastructure, deployment workflows, automation, and system reliability.
• Maintain a high quality standard for technical accuracy and reproducibility across evaluation tasks.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated infrastructure solutions and future task design.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine technical requirements, evaluation standards, and engineering workflows.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong programming and automation skills in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Practical experience with CI/CD platforms, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux and Git.
• Strong technical reasoning, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to commit at least 20 hours per week in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Background in cloud security, secrets management, platform reliability, or incident response.
• Experience working with large-scale production infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Open-source contributions or strong technical writing experience.
• Previous experience with AI training data, AI evaluation, or machine learning systems.
• Experience developing technical evaluation frameworks, reference solutions, or engineering documentation.

Compensation

• Competitive compensation of $50–$100/hour.
