Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD pipeline management:
- Build, manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
- Automate deployment processes for faster and error-free releases.
- Integrate testing, security and monitoring in the pipeline.
- Cloud infrastructure management:
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Manage EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, RDS, Kubernetes clusters (as applicable).
- Containerization & orchestration:
- Work on Docker containerization and building images.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE).
- Implement service deployments, scaling, rollbacks, and cluster monitoring.
- Automation & scripting:
- Use automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Write automation scripts using Bash/Python/Shell.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation and management.
- Monitoring & logging:
Implement monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack, Datadog, and New Relic.
Ensure system uptime, performance tracking, and proactive issue resolution.
Set up log management and alerting systems.
- Security & compliance:
- Manage cloud access control, IAM policies, and secrets management.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and perform vulnerability assessments.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices into pipelines.
- Backup & disaster recovery:
- Configure automated backup strategies for infrastructure.
- Create DR plans, failover mechanisms, data retention, and restoration workflows.
- Collaboration & documentation:
- Work closely with development, testing, and product teams.
- Document infrastructure, architectures, and deployment processes.
- Participate in sprint planning and project discussions.
