We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Developmental Therapist will work with infants and toddlers (ages 0-3/5 years) with developmental delays or disabilities. The primary goal is to enhance cognitive, physical, communication, adaptive, and social-emotional development through play-based interventions in both center-based and, if required, natural environments.
- Assessments & Planning: Conduct developmental screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify areas of delay. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans (IFSPs) and set measurable goals.
- Direct Intervention: Deliver specialized, play-based therapeutic services to children to improve skills in cognitive, motor, communication, and social-emotional domains.
- Family Training & Support: Empower families by providing training, education, and coaching on therapeutic techniques to be used in daily routines at home.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential progress notes, reports, and data tracking for all sessions.
- Transitions: Support children and families in transitioning out of early intervention services into school or other programs.
Requirements
M.Sc. in Child Development or Post Graduate Diploma in Child Care and Development (PGDCCD) (mandatory)
Experience working with infants and young children with developmental delays is preferred
Strong understanding of early childhood development and early intervention practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
