Job Description
We are seeking Development Managers to lead the design, development, and delivery of telecom-grade products in the areas of Lawful Intercept (LI), Location Based Services (LBS), and high-performance network probes. These products operate under strict regulatory requirements, handle very high traffic and data volumes, and demand high availability, low latency, and absolute data correctness. The role requires a strong balance of technical depth, architectural thinking, and team leadership, with active ownership of product quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Architectural Leadership
- Own the technical direction and architecture of LI, LBS, and Probe products.
- Drive design decisions for high-performance, scalable, and highly available systems.
- Review and approve low-level and high-level designs, ensuring long-term maintainability.
2. Product Development Ownership
- Lead end-to-end development of telecom products handling massive traffic and data volumes.
- Ensure correct implementation of protocol handling, data mediation, transformation, and storage.
- Maintain compliance with telecom standards, regulatory requirements, and customer SLAs.
3. Team Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor multi-skilled development teams (backend, system, and integration engineers).
- Allocate work, track execution, and ensure predictable and high-quality deliveries.
- Enforce engineering best practices including code reviews, design reviews, and documentation.
4. Performance, Scalability & Reliability
- Ensure systems are designed and tested for high throughput, low latency, and zero/minimal data loss.
- Drive focus on performance optimization, database scalability, and efficient resource usage.
- Own production stability, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with QA, System Engineering, DevOps, and Operations teams to ensure production readiness.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Leadership on roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer escalations and critical issues.
6. Regulatory & Customer-Facing Responsibilities
- Ensure LI and LBS implementations meet lawful interception and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support customer discussions, audits, and technical workshops when required.
- Translate regulatory or customer requirements into clear technical execution plans.
7. Process & Continuous Improvement
- Drive Agile development practices with a strong focus on engineering discipline.
- Improve development processes, tooling, and automation to increase team productivity.
- Identify technical risks early and proactively mitigate them.
Mandatory Requirements
1.Experience
- 10–16 years of software development experience, with significant exposure to telecom products.
- Prior experience in a technical leadership or development management role.
2.Telecom Domain Expertise
- Strong experience with telecom systems, preferably in LI, LBS, probes, mediation, or monitoring platforms.
- Deep understanding of high-throughput, real-time data processing systems.
3.Technical Background
- Strong hands-on background in system-level or backend development ( C/C++, Python, or similar).
- Solid understanding of databases, performance tuning, and high availability architectures.
4.System Design & Scalability
- Proven experience designing and scaling large, distributed, high- performance systems.
5.Linux & Production Systems
- Strong experience with Linux-based production environments and troubleshooting live systems.
6.On-site Requirement
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Navi Mumbai and work on-site.
Preferred Skills
1. Product-Specific Experience
- Hands-on experience with Lawful Intercept (LI) systems, LBS platforms, or network probes.
- Experience working with regulatory-driven or government-facing telecom products.
2. Network & Protocol Knowledge
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP, and telecom protocols.
- Experience handling mirrored traffic, probes, or deep packet inspection systems is a strong plus.
3. High Availability & Reliability
- Experience designing active-active / active-passive architectures and disaster recovery strategies.
4. DevOps & Deployment
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
5. Stakeholder Communication
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical topics to leadership, customers, and regulators.
