Development Manager (Java, AI,Python)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive product innovation.
• Provide technical leadership, direction, and guidance in developing innovative solutions.
• Evaluate the use of AI/ML technology in every project advocate for its use consistently to recognize both developer productivity gains, as well as end-user benefit.
• Ensure clarity around priorities and goals including planning, requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Lead a team of product developers with direction, coaching, and support to ensure successful execution of objectives.
• Mentor and support product developers, review deliverables and provide performance feedback.
• Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.
• Establish functional requirements and review solutions to ensure organizational needs are met.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong technical background ( Python, Java etc), hands-on, strong understanding of NFRs
• Strong execution and delivery management skills, Strong people leadership, good track record of developing high performing teams etc
• Exposure to Merchant-side payments- A big plus
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Customer Orientation.
• Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of product development.
• Prior experience working globally in an agile methodology.
• Experience developing or leading the development of enterprise applications with thousands of users.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
• 3+ years managing and developing employees.
• 3+ years of specialized/industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
