Role Description:-

This is a full-time, on-site Development Manager – Health Agency role based in Ludhiana. The Development Manager will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and developing health insurance agents, ensuring they are trained on products, processes, and compliance requirements. The role involves driving health insurance business through the agency channel by setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing local sales initiatives. The Development Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with agents and channel partners, provide regular guidance and field support, and help resolve customer and partner issues promptly. The position also includes tracking market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support business planning, as well as preparing periodic sales reports and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or agency management, preferably in insurance, financial services, or related industries.
  • Strong people management capabilities, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management of partners or teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of health insurance products, distribution channels, and basic regulatory and compliance norms (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Ability to analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and prepare concise reports for management review.
  • Comfort with digital tools and mobile/online platforms used for sales, training, reporting, and customer servicing.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a degree or certification in insurance, business, or finance is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment within the Ludhiana market.
