The Team
Capability Hubs (CH) is a mature set of cross-functional capabilities that enable the go-to-market agenda, corporate functions and engagement support teams of KPMG firms.
Led by an experienced leadership team across six locations in India (Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kochi, Pune, Hyderabad and Noida) and supported by seasoned professionals with deep domain expertise, CH is dedicated to delivering value and achieving business outcomes.
Working closely with KPMG firms, which leverage our teams for enablement across functions such as Insights & Risk management, Sales Enablement, Digital Experience & Business Services, Technology Services and Transformation, CH forms an integral part of KGS strategy to innovate, build, scale and improve profitability.
Role Overview
- The Lead Azure Integration Services Developer provides technical leadership and architectural ownership for the design and delivery of enterprise-scale integration solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role is accountable for ensuring integrations are secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
- Operating at a strategic and hands-on level, this role shapes integration standards, patterns, and best practices, while mentoring engineering teams and collaborating closely with enterprise architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders.
Experience Band
911 years of experience in enterprise integration development and Azure platforms, including leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Design
- Design and own end-to-end integration solutions using:
- Azure Logic Apps (Consumption and Standard)
- Azure Functions
- Azure API Management
- Azure Service Bus and Event Grid
- Define and apply synchronous, asynchronous, publishsubscribe, and file-based integration patterns
- Translate business requirements into functional, logical, and technical integration designs
- Produce and govern High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and integration flow diagrams
Development & Delivery Leadership
- Lead the development of robust, resilient integration solutions, including:
- Data mapping, transformation, and orchestration
- Error handling, retries, compensation, and resiliency patterns
- Conduct and oversee unit testing, support System Integration Testing (SIT), and assist during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Review and approve integration code, configurations, and deployment artefacts
Performance, Reliability & Optimisation
- Optimise integrations for performance, cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability
- Ensure integrations meet non-functional requirements such as availability, throughput, and recoverability
- Partner with DevOps and platform teams to ensure operational readiness and supportability
Standards, Governance & Strategy
- Define and maintain integration architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices
- Provide architectural assurance through design and code reviews
- Contribute to enterprise integration strategy and roadmap in collaboration with enterprise architects
CI/CD & Automation Enablement
- Support and influence CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of integration components
- Ensure integrations are deployment-ready and compliant with DevOps and security standards
Leadership & Mentoring
- Act as a technical authority and escalation point for integration delivery
- Mentor senior and junior developers, building integration capability and maturity
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Technical Skills and qualifications
Essential
- Graduation degree or above in the field of engineering, Computers or Information technology
- Expert-level hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps (Consumption and Standard)
- Advanced development experience with Azure Functions and Azure API Management
- Deep knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and event-driven architectures
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies
- Proven ability to design and deliver complex, enterprise-scale integrations
Desirable
- Azure Integration Architect, AZ-204 (Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure), or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) certification
- Experience operating in large-scale, regulated, or distributed enterprise environments
- Exposure to hybrid integration or multi-cloud integration patterns
