Development Engineer Job Description
Position: Development Engineer
Department: Development
Reports To: Development Manager / Production Head
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product development and trial planning.
- Coordinate with customer, quality and production departments for new parts.
- Study customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Prepare trial plans, process flow, and control plans.
- Monitor trial production and collect trial data.
- Analyze defects and suggest process improvements.
- Prepare PPAP documents and development records.
- Support pattern, core box and tooling development.
- Maintain development activity reports.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure new product trials meet customer quality standards.
- Follow safety procedures during trials and development activities.
- Support internal audits and safety training.
Cost & Efficiency
- Reduce trial rejections and development cost.
- Improve process capability and product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of foundry manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read customer drawings and technical standards.
- Basic understanding of PPAP, APQP and quality tools.
- MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. Mechanical / Foundry Technology.
- 0 to 2 years experience in foundry development / NPD activities.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: 23,500 to 25,000 per month (Based on experience & skill)
