Job Title: Development Analyst India

About UHM

United Hospitality Management (UHM) is an international hotel management company with a growing portfolio across the Middle East, Europe, and India. As part of our strategic expansion in India, we are strengthening our development function to identify, evaluate, and execute new hotel management and acquisition opportunities.

Role Overview

The Development Analyst India will support UHM's expansion strategy by conducting market research, financial feasibility analysis, and deal evaluation for new hotel opportunities across India.

This role is analytical, commercially focused, and strategic ideal for a candidate with strong financial modeling skills and a solid understanding of the hospitality industry.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing new hotel management contracts, acquisitions, partnerships, and pipeline growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Research & Feasibility Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth market research across Indian cities and leisure destinations.
  • Analyze demand drivers, competitive supply, and performance benchmarks.
  • Evaluate location viability and positioning opportunities.
  • Prepare feasibility studies for new hotel developments or conversions.

2. Financial Modeling & Investment Analysis

  • Build detailed financial models including:
  • Revenue projections
  • Operating cost assumptions
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
  • Support return-on-investment evaluations for management contracts and acquisitions.

3. Deal Evaluation & Support

  • Assist in evaluating management contract opportunities.
  • Review owner proposals and financial data.
  • Support preparation of commercial proposals and pitch decks.
  • Participate in due diligence processes.

4. Competitive Intelligence

  • Track competitor expansion activity.
  • Analyze branded vs independent positioning in target markets.
  • Monitor hotel transactions and development trends.

5. Stakeholder & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Revenue teams to validate assumptions.
  • Support negotiations with owners by preparing financial insights.
  • Assist leadership in preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

6. Reporting & Pipeline Tracking

  • Maintain development pipeline database.
  • Prepare regular development reports and performance updates.
  • Track deal progress and timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or Business. 2 6 years of experience in:
  • Hospitality development
  • Hotel consulting
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
  • Understanding of hotel KPIs (ADR, RevPAR, GOP, EBITDA).
