Job Title: Strategy Consultant

Scope of Engagements:

We are seeking experienced IT Strategy professionals to play a pivotal role at the intersection of business, technology, and customer needs. You will work on transforming business and operating models through tech-enabled solutions that boost performance across enterprises. Our consultants drive value through:

  • Reimagining business models with innovative tech solutions that revitalize organizational performance.
  • Aligning enterprise tech vision with corporate strategies, driving improved customer experiences, and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Maximizing technology investments with a focus on agility, cost-effectiveness, productivity, and performance.

As a Strategy Consultant, you will address critical issues for CIOs, CTOs, and other business leaders, offering strategic insights to drive world-class IT capabilities and future-ready business solutions. We provide a wide range of services, including:

  • Tech Strategy & Vision
  • IT Operating Model Optimization
  • Transformation Strategy, Roadmaps, and Blueprints (3-5 years)
  • Office of the CIO functions (IT Finance, Sourcing, Project Portfolio Management)
  • Product Strategy & Management
  • M&A Due-Diligence, Planning, and Post Integration/Separation
  • Enterprise Architecture Services

Key Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Analyze business strategy and translate it into a comprehensive enterprise-wide technology vision and strategy that aligns with corporate goals such as growth, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate business capabilities to develop strategic objectives, KPIs, processes, and supporting systems to drive business outcomes.
  • Assess the impact of business strategy on organizational capabilities and recommend optimization opportunities through tech-enabled solutions across systems, data, infrastructure, and applications.
  • Lead initiatives in business model innovation/ incubation, particularly in market strategy, pricing, finance, product management, or ecosystem management.
  • Advise clients on analyzing and optimizing their IT operating models, focusing on organization structure, processes, and governance.
  • Guide large-scale enterprise transformations, collaborating with IT leadership and business stakeholders (CIOs, CFOs, COOs) to shape the strategic IT agenda.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on technological innovations, identifying emerging trends and their potential implications for clients.
  • Collaborate with EY's global network, leveraging cross-functional expertise to offer architecture insights and strategies.

Within the Team, Your Role Will Include:

  • Leading client discussions, particularly with C-suite executives, to provide strategic guidance.
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients, positioning yourself as a strategic technology advisor, and working closely across EY advisory teams.
  • Contributing to the growth of the TST Strategy practice, developing and maintaining client relationships, and leading engagements as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Managing and mentoring team members, delivering training, and ensuring high-quality client services throughout projects.
  • Creating expert content, including white papers, thought leadership, and conducting presentations for C-level discussions.
  • Contributing to solution development, tools, and knowledge repositories, supporting EY's thought leadership in the industry.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

  • Strong academic background with a BE/B.Tech and an MBA from a top-tier business school.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in large-scale enterprise transformations, with a background in Strategy Consulting at a top-tier firm.
  • Experience in business transformation across sectors such as Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare/Pharma, Telecom, E-commerce, etc.
  • Proven ability to drive business workshops and collaborate on developing transformation strategies, roadmaps, and blueprints.
  • Expertise in IT operating model optimization, IT-business alignment, and development of future-state IT architectures and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with senior IT leadership (CIOs, IT Directors) and business leadership (CFOs, COOs).
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (cloud, automation, AI/ML, IoT, blockchain) and their impact on business strategy.

Preferred, but not Required:

  • Advanced degrees (MBA, Masters) from top-tier institutions.
  • Direct experience presenting to C-suite executives, explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with technology innovation, including AI/ML, blockchain, IoT, etc.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Cloud Certified) and expertise in key technology domains (cloud, security, DevOps).

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Understanding of IT environment and industry trends to identify client engagement opportunities.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • Experience in driving project scoping, staffing, and delivery, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Ability to generate sell-on work by leveraging EY's range of services to address client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and build long-term trusted advisor relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation, public speaking, and content creation.

Note: The candidate must be willing to travel as per client and job requirements, which may involve international travel.
