Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer 2 to join our IT team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-user computing devices, ensuring a seamless and efficient working environment for our staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and other end-user computing devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
  • Respond to user inquiries and issues via helpdesk tickets, phone, and in-person support.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new workstations and peripherals.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure security compliance.
  • Document support processes and maintain knowledge base articles.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Mac OS.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair of PCs and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with end-users and provide excellent customer service.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are preferred.
