2-4 year of working experience in a textbook publishing firm or graphic design agency.
Skill Sets:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Math Type, and Adobe InDesign.
- Strong expertise in typesetting, layout, and designing inside text pages for textbook publishing.
- Prior experience in typing and working methodically with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with creating equations using Math Type.
- Hands-on experience in importing text and graphics into Word and InDesign.
- Proficient in using shortcut keys to streamline workflow in Word and InDesign.
- Experience in working within publishing/printing firms, particularly for textbooks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create and produce various publishing materials combining text and graphic images.
- Format and adjust text properties such as size, column width, and spacing, while revising layouts and making necessary corrections with a high level of accuracy.
- Perform typesetting and ensure cohesive page layouts for textbook publishing, designing and arranging text and graphics for inside pages.
- Efficiently type content in English and Hindi using MS Word and Adobe InDesign, creating equations and mathematical content using Math Type.
- Import and integrate text and images to create visually appealing and structured pages, maintaining the quality and consistency of designs throughout the publication.
- Leverage shortcut keys and advanced tools in Word and InDesign to enhance productivity and streamline workflow.
