Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Engineer to join the Digital Solutions & End-User Computing team. The role focuses on engineering, automation, and support of the Windows client platform across geographically distributed endpoints. The candidate will work on modern workplace technologies, endpoint management, and enterprise desktop solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, automate, and support Windows 11 client platform across enterprise environments
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Viva, WebEx)
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and C#
  • Perform Windows debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for system issues
  • Work with SCCM/Intune for endpoint configuration, deployment, and management
  • Administer Active Directory / Entra ID, including Group Policies and user/device management
  • Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and analyze trends
  • Handle incident management, including driver crashes and system-level issues
  • Work with Microsoft Graph API for integrations and automation
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Collaborate with global teams for infrastructure support and enhancements
  • Document incident analysis, system changes, and technical procedures

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows desktop engineering / system administration
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Windows 11 OS deployment (OSD)
    • PowerShell scripting and automation
    • SCCM / Intune
    • Microsoft 365 ecosystem
    • Active Directory / Entra ID & Group Policies
  • Experience with Windows kernel-level debugging
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP)
  • Familiarity with event monitoring tools like Splunk
  • Understanding of enterprise IT practices (performance, capacity, troubleshooting)
Good to Have

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security
  • Experience with ITIL / Agile (SAFe) frameworks
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Exposure to R&D or innovation initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
