Summary: This role is responsible for creating and modifying 3D models, 2D drawings, and assemblies using advanced CAD tools in support of product development, manufacturing, and engineering analysis.
Responsibilities:
Develop accurate 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Creo, NX, or equivalent).
Collaborate closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and analysts to ensure designs meet functional, cost, and quality targets.
Participate in design reviews, model checks, and tolerance stack-ups.
Support prototype builds and production launches by updating models and drawings as needed.
Maintain compliance with Client&rsquos design standards and documentation protocols.
Work within PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter or Windchill) for design releases and version control.
Communicate effectively with global teams and support cross-functional initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor&rsquos degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience in 3D modeling and drafting using major CAD tools.
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and standards.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Client product lines or similar heavy equipment.
Familiarity with FEA-prep, simulation interfaces, or surfacing techniques.
Proficiency in PLM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
Knowledge of materials (castings, weldments, sheet metal) and design-for-manufacture principles.
