Purpose & Scope of Position

This role involves designing, analyzing, and managing civil engineering projects across various domains such as roads, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project objectives, requirements, and constraints.
• Design and Analysis: Develop civil engineering designs, plans, and specifications for a wide range of projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure projects.
• Structural Analysis: Conduct structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of designs, applying relevant engineering principles.
• Permitting: Manage the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Material Selection: Select appropriate construction materials and methods, considering project requirements, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
• Environmental Impact: Assess and mitigate the environmental impact of projects, incorporating sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.
• Drafting: Create detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and construction documentation using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of design plans and construction documents.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for project budgets, considering materials, labor, and equipment.
• Coordination: Collaborate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure civil designs are integrated into overall project plans.
• Project Management: Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and timelines related to civil design tasks.
