Designer & Product Developer (Knitwear)

We are hiring for a Designer & Product Developer role with a well-established apparel sourcing and product development business working with international clients across Europe and the United States.
This role is best suited for someone who combines strong communication skills, knitwear industry experience, and trend-led product thinking.
What matters most in this role
- Communication skills : This role involves working in an international business context. The candidate should be able to communicate clearly and confidently, especially while working with teams and client-facing requirements linked to Europe and the United States.
- Knitwear industry experience : The ideal candidate should come from the knitwear / apparel industry and understand how product development works in a structured, deadline-led environment.
- Trend analysis through WGSN : The candidate should be able to interpret trends, use WGSN meaningfully, and translate trend inputs into commercially relevant product and collection directions.
Key responsibilities
- Research and interpret fashion and market trends through WGSN and other relevant sources
- Build and support seasonal design directions and product ideas
- Work on collection development and supplier-led product curation
- Contribute to product development across fabrics, structures, techniques and finishes
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal teams to move development forward
- Support collection readiness for buyer and internal presentations
- Maintain ownership on timelines, follow-ups and closure
What the role needs
- 3 to 5 years of experience in apparel design / product development
- Relevant experience in the knitwear industry is a must
- Strong spoken and written English communication
- Confidence in reading and applying WGSN / trend forecasting inputs
- Ability to work in a full-time office-based setup
- Strong follow-up discipline and execution ownership
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
