Job Overview
Job Summary**
The Design Project Management role at STELLANTIS ENGINEERING INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED is responsible for leading and coordinating design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards within the automotive engineering domain.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for design projects.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional design teams, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure all design deliverables meet specified technical requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage project documentation, including specifications, design reviews, and change requests.
- Facilitate efficient communication and decision-making between design, engineering, manufacturing, and other relevant departments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance design project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and apply best practices to future projects.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, or related field) or a strong design background with project management certification.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically within design or product development in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex design projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of automotive design processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g., CAD, CAE, PLM systems).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
