Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

● Review product designs and apply DFM principles to ensure manufacturability, reliability,

and cost-effectiveness.

● Translate designs into physical builds — including prototyping, fabrication, and

assembly of components and systems.

● Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency,

quality, and scalability.

● Work hands-on with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes (drilling,

tapping, welding support, fitting, etc.).

● Conduct tolerance analysis, GD&T reviews, and design validation to ensure robust

production.

● Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost

reduction.

● Collaborate with design, R&D, and engineering teams to shorten product development

cycles.

● Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in the

manufacturing environment.

● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production processes, equipment, and

assemblies.

● Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and assembly procedures.

● Evaluate and implement automation and Industry 4.0 solutions where relevant.

● Train and support production staff in new processes, tools, and best practices.

● Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality materials, tooling, and components.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production Engineering (or equivalent

practical experience).

● Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal, fabrication,

assembly.

● Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

● Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and basic inspection methods.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

● Knowledge of safety practices in workshop and industrial environments

Preferred Skills:

● Hands-on experience with tools: drill, tap, grinder, lathe/mill (manual or CNC basics).

● Experience in prototyping and rapid iteration.

● Exposure to additive manufacturing / 3D printing.

● Awareness of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.

● Knowledge of DFMA tools/software
