Role Description

Shahi Exports is seeking a full-time Design Manager for the UK and European market. This on-site role, based in Faridabad, involves managing design projects, leading a team of designers, and collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and deliver creative solutions. The Design Manager will develop seasonal collections, ensure alignment with market trends, and maintain brand identity. The role also requires close coordination with internal teams like production and merchandising to ensure seamless design execution.

JD

• Responsible for designing and developing collections for Women's Wear and Kidswear
• Strong understanding of UK & European fashion trends, consumer preferences, and seasonal direction
• Experience in handling buyer accounts such as Primark, H&M, C&A, Marks & Spencer (M&S), Tesco, and Zara
• Ability to create concepts, mood boards, and range plans as per buyer requirements
• Work closely with merchandising and production teams for product development
• Ensure timely delivery of designs in line with buyer expectations
• Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in design development and creating seasonal collections
• Strong understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and the UK/European apparel market
• Team leadership experience and the ability to inspire and mentor a creative team
• Excellent communication and client management skills to effectively interact with international clients
• Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and textile design
• Ability to work on-site at the Faridabad location
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field
• Experience in sustainable fashion design or working with eco-friendly materials is a plus
