The Design Architect will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing the architectural design process for horizontal and vertical residential, hospitality, data centre, and other development projects. This role sits within the developer organization, ensuring that all design solutions meet the developers business objectives, regulatory requirements, cost parameters, brand standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Design Development & Technical Oversight
- Validate detailed design drawings, GFCs (Good for Construction Drawings), and technical specifications; work closely with engineering, construction, and MEP teams to ensure design practicality and buildability.
- Review value-engineering proposals and ensure that design quality is maintained within cost targets.
Coordination With External Consultants
- Select, brief, and manage architectural consultants, master planners, and specialist designers.
- Review consultant drawings (architectural, structural, MEP, landscape) for compliance with design intent.
- Ensure timely design deliverables and provide consolidated feedback from the developers side.
Quality & Aesthetics Control
- Maintain consistency in architectural standards, materials, and visual language across projects.
- Review mock-ups, sample flats, and material boards.
- Ensure that the final built product reflects the approved design intent.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track design progress against milestones and escalate risks proactively.
- Prepare regular design status reports for management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- 512 years of architectural design experience (depending on seniority level).
- Prior experience working on the developer side or with large architectural firms handling real estate projects is highly preferred.
