We are seeking to hire an experienced Design Manager for our Aviation design team for Domestic & GID projects. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

The Aviation Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of design management for complex airport infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include

  • Monitor compliance of Design Consultant deliverables with contract requirements.
  • Manage the scope and content of each design submittal package.
  • Coordinate project governance presentations and ensure timely input from stakeholders.
  • Facilitate responses to RFIs between the project team and Design Consultant.
  • Organize and lead design workshops involving the Design Consultant, client, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the design-to-budget process, including evaluation of technical design alternatives.
  • Schedule and assist with constructability reviews across all design phases.
  • Document and manage design-related issues, decisions, and actions.
  • Lead design review meetings and consolidate stakeholder feedback, including third-party reviewers.
  • Conduct design review sessions and oversee the integration of feedback into design packages.
  • Ensure all resolved design issues are incorporated into final design submissions.
  • Assist in project close-out activities related to Design Consultant deliverables and obligations.

We welcome applications from qualified professionals currently based overseas who are open to relocating to India. Relocation support may be provided for exceptional candidates having extensive experience in aviation airfield engineering space.


Here's what you'll need

The ideal candidate will demonstrate

  • Proven experience in project management across design, construction, commissioning, ORAT, and close-out phases of airport infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in managing project design, with significant experience at large domestic or international airports.Strong working knowledge of engineering, and systems components of airside infrastructure and support facilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders including client team and regulatory authorities.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making without requiring continuous oversight.
  • Effective management of multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong team collaboration skills with clients, project teams, and contractors.
  • Experience in design development for new or expanded facilities while maintaining ongoing operations.
  • In-depth understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety regulations, construction systems, materials, and industry standards.
  • Eligibility to obtain an airport security pass and pass a security background check.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
