Design Manager – Engineering / Fabrication Equipment

Department: Design & Engineering

Location: Vadodara – Manjusar GIDC

Industry: Engineering Fabrication / Process Equipment Manufacturing

Experience Required: 10–15 Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

Review SO / PO, technical specifications, schematic drawings, and project scope.

Lead preparation of P&ID, layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, installation

drawings, and manufacturing drawings.

Validate design calculations, equipment sizing, and technical feasibility.

Ensure BOM accuracy, ERP BOM release, and revision control.

Coordinate with PPC, Production, QC, Purchase, Projects, and Site teams.

Support fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.

Resolve technical issues during production and site execution.

Review and approve drawings before release to production.

Lead and manage design engineers and draftsmen.

Establish engineering standards and design SOPs.

SolidWorks

AutoCAD

Excel

ERP BOM Handling

Innovator / Creo / Nesting Software (Preferred)

Mandatory Skills

Minimum 10 years experience in fabrication design.

Strong knowledge of SS fabrication, structures, process equipment, and welding practices.

Hands-on experience in BOM preparation and production coordination.

Strong practical manufacturing understanding.
