We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our design team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing design projects, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and high-quality design solutions that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design team to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define design requirements and specifications.
- Develop design strategies and oversee the execution of design projects from concept to completion.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
- Mentor and train junior designers, fostering a creative and productive work environment.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure the team remains at the forefront of design innovation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of professional experience in a design management or leadership role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in user-centered design principles and methodologies.
