About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who will lead residential/commercial interior design projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong design sensibility, technical expertise, client management skills, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Project Development
- Lead the complete interior design process, including concept development, space planning, and detailed design.
- Prepare layout plans, working drawings, and design presentations.
- Develop mood boards, material selections, color schemes, and furniture specifications.
- Ensure designs align with client requirements, budget, and project timelines.
Client Management
- Meet clients to understand requirements, preferences, and functional needs.
- Present design concepts and explain technical details clearly.
- Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design integrity.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical & Execution Coordination
- Prepare detailed drawings for execution including modular furniture, electrical, plumbing, and false ceiling layouts.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and execution teams.
- Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation meets specifications.
- Resolve design-related issues during execution.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide junior designers.
- Review and approve drawings and design proposals from junior team members.
- Maintain design standards and consistency across projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in residential interior design.
- Proven experience handling end-to-end interior design projects.
Required Skills
- Strong design visualization and conceptual skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and modular furniture systems.
- Strong space planning and technical drawing skills.
- Excellent communication and client handling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in modular kitchen and wardrobe design.
- Knowledge of site execution and construction processes.
- Experience mentoring junior designers.
